Medieval and Spanish blues by traveling guitarist Claude Bourbon, whose inimitable style incorporates all five digits on both of his hands, dancing independently but in unison, plucking, picking and strumming at such speed and precision that his fingers often seem to melt into a blur. “It’s hard to describe the amalgam of different influences in Claude’s playing, all melting into eachother, as he moves from classical openings, across a whole continent of cultural roots, from the Balearic’s to the Balkans, then across the Mississippi Delta, and shoehorned into … music that would not have been out of place in the courts of emperors or kings.”
Twenty-five artists will show off their private workspaces, demonstrate their creative processes and sell their work, in locations ranging from Neskowin to Depoe Bay. Tour buttons and maps can be purchased at the LCCC, the Ryan Gallery and at all of the other studio sites, $10 per person. For pre-tour purchases of the map and entrance button visit the Lincoln City Cultural Center, go to artstudiotourlccc.com or call 541-994-9994.
